The Shield © Range of SABS Food Plant Approved Formulations has been developed to address the primary cleaning needs of the F&B Industry. Our “COST EFFECTIVE APPROACH TO FOOD PLANT HYGIENE” has created a stir in an industry previously dominated by international corporations. Our approach is simply to disclose the myths surrounding the specialty chemical industry and get back to the business of supplying hygiene solutions at cost effective rates.
We have assembled a team of industry specialists with a combined experience of over 300 years in the specialty chemical sector. Through this vast pool of experience we have been able to develop cleaning solutions that work, and that are easily supported in the remote areas of Africa in which we operate. Our approach is to “tailor” the solution to the customer’s specific needs. These needs can range from simple detergent supply through to onsite manufacture of various chemical detergents using super concentrates or raw materials. We also in many instances actually manage the full chemical requirements including Water Treatment , Dosing and Control and Process Management on the customer’s site.
Through the various Divisions with the Group, the chemical offering is often only one small part of the process. We work closely with our Sister Divisions and other Group Companies to combine, the Shield Chemical offering, the Water Treatment Plant & Services, Process Management, Engineering Projects & Services, Plant Audits and Training, into one holistic hygiene package for our clients.
As our Client partnerships reach this level, we make use of our in-house developed SMP, “Systems Management Platform” which is an IT web based document retention and sharing platform to link our clients with our business so as to ensure easy access to documentation and communication. This is particularly useful when working across geographies as large as Africa.
